London, 18th November 2009 – Jones Lang LaSalle has today announced a series of appointments to its EMEA leadership team that will serve to further strengthen the EMEA Management Board and position the firm to take advantage of opportunities as the region emerges from the recession.
Robert Bonwell, who has been focused on retail and corporate work, will take a newly created dedicated role as CEO of Jones Lang LaSalle’s
EMEA Retail Business, charged with extending the excellent groundwork already laid in building the firm’s retail platform and integrating recent acquisitions in Germany, Turkey and England.
Vincent Lottefier will move from his current role heading the International Desk, based in New York, to become CEO of
EMEA Corporate Solutions, relocating to Paris. He will work with Peter Downie who is moving from his present Global Chief Operating Officer role with
Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels to become COO for EMEA Corporate Solutions.
Vincent Lottefier will join Christian Ulbrich, Andy Mottram, Steve Cresswell, Robert Bonwell and Benoit du Passage on the EMEA Management Board. All of these changes will take effect from January 2010.
Christian Ulbrich, EMEA CEO at Jones Lang LaSalle said: “These appointments will significantly increase the senior leadership resource focused on our Corporate Solutions and Retail businesses, both of which are key areas of long-term opportunity for the firm.”
In addition, Jones Lang LaSalle confirms that that Mark Jagger has announced his intention to leave Jones Lang LaSalle at the end of the year. Earlier this year Mark passed the Managing Director Russia and CIS role to Charles Boudet and he plans to remain in an interim Chairman role through the early part of Q1 2010 to complete a smooth and fully effective leadership transition. Thereafter, he will take a break and spend some time with his family in Sweden before returning to the industry.
Christian Ulbrich commented: “Mark has made a significant contribution to Jones Lang LaSalle during his 20 year career with us, working across an impressive number of countries and business areas. Most recently he has successfully led our
Russian and CIS business which has grown to a strong leadership position and where we now have a 50% major market share, despite a turbulent economic climate. We thank him for this and wish him the very best for the future.”
He continued: “Charles joined the firm in 2006 and was head of Office & Industrial Agency before stepping into the Managing Director role. Charles brings proven leadership experience and a great track record of client success to his new role, and I am sure he will make a great success of it.”
